The Hautes-Pyrénées offer a magnificent playground for all lovers of trout fishing. The countless mountain streams that are born in the Pyrenees to form beautiful rivers a few kilometers further downstream are as many streams to survey and discover. The Adour, the Neste, the Gave de Pau offer an important diversity of routes hosting beautiful populations of wild fish.

The Gave de Pau is born in the Hautes-Pyrénées in the Gavarnie circus. It is the reunion of a series of mountain torrents that take their source in the valleys of Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Cauterets, Gavarnie, Val d’Azun. The Gave de Pau is one of the most productive rivers of the Pyrenees, and its high-Pyrenean linear does not harm this reputation: very nice fish can be caught on these routes before it reaches the Pyrenees-Atlantics.
